My
fascination with knitting started years
ago when my granny gave me a ball of wool
and a pair of needles. Since then,
I always have some hand knitting on the
go.
A friend bought me a second-hand knitting
machine at an auction, and after a lot of
dropped stitches and frustrations with
casting on, I finally mastered the
machine! Knitting became a new
challenge. Whilst studying for my
City and Guilds I tentatively dipped my
toe into the world of felting, and before
long I was hooked. The combination
of knitting in wool, and then felting,
led me to study experimental knitting
at Morley College in London.
Here, I developed my felting techniques
further, and started to explore knitting
with wire. I was in love!
